Unreal Renders
These are the most recent renders from Unreal Engine. I modeled everything in Maya, textured it in Substance Painter, and then staged it in Unreal Engine.

My Process
I wanted to create an architectural model, as I have been modeling a lot of furniture but have not dived into building design. I chose a lighthouse as a result of going to Maine every summer to visit my Grandmother. This particular lighthouse this model is based off of, the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse is the last functional screwpile lighthouse in the US. And is located in Maryland. I chose a screwpile lighthouse because I thought it was more visually interesting, and could not find as many screwpile lighthouses online in comparison to traditional tall lighthouses.

Lighthouse Blueprint I worked off of
Lighthouse
To create this lighthouse, I began by modeling a single section. After UV mapping it, I textured the section in Substance Painter. I then imported the textured model into Maya and duplicated it five times, rotating each copy by 60 degrees. To ensure precise alignment, I made each duplication an instance of the original. Finally, I added the rowboat and structural poles.

Rowboat
In order to create a rowboat, I first found a good blueprint of one online. After I found this reference image, I put it into Maya. I then modeled using the blueprint as a guide.
